You can go to Google Play Store or the iOS App Store and search for ICICIdirect Markets App.

Download the app on your smartphone. You can create an Account and set up your profile and start trading.

Alternately you can click on http://onelink.to/marketsapp to download app.

Login to your ICICIdirect account on the App and add stocks or contracts to the Watchlist from the search option. Once you have added your preferred stocks or contracts you can begin trading.

When in the Watchlist Page click on the search Icon where you can type the name of Stock or Contract. Select Add that is present on the right of the search. The stock or contract gets added to your Watchlist. You can also Swipe left from the Watchlist to check the predefined lists such as Nifty 50, BSE IT, Top Gaines, Yearly Low etc. and add those stocks by selecting on the “+” button – here you will get the option to add to a specific Watchlist.

You can place order on Markets App by 2 ways – Either by clicking on stocks added to your Watchlist or by searching for stock from the search option present on the Watchlist page and then clicking on stock directly (rather than clicking on add, which will add stock to your Watchlist). By this you will land on the Stock Overview page. Just beside the stock name at the top you can select the exchanges (NSE is the exchange by default). Here on this page you get a pool of option to browse through – Overview, Futures, Option Chain & News related to stock selected.

Click on Buy if you wish to buy that stock. Select the product you want to place order in –

Delivery –Cash (Normal Buy-Sell of stocks)

Intraday –Margin (Earlier known as Margin Broker Mode)

MTF –Buy now, Pay Later Option (T+365 – Pledge compulsory)

Cover Order –Another Intraday product comes with mandatory Stop Loss (Known as Margin Plus)

Enter the Stock Quantity. You can use +/- or directly clicking on Quantity value to edit the same. (By default it is written as 1)

Select the Order Type:

• Market Order (Here transactions happen quickly at the current market price of stock)
• Limit Order (Here you can set maximum or minimum price at which you are willing to complete the transaction, whether it is buy or sell)

Click on Buy. You will land on Order Confirmation Page. Check the order details and swipe to buy. If you have allocated sufficient funds to Equity, your order will be placed successfully. If sufficient funds are not available in your account, allocate fund page will prompt you to add more funds.

You order will be successfully placed.

You must be able to see 5 tabs at the bottom of the app. Click on the 2nd icon which is “Orders”.

Here you will be able to see 2 tabs – Pending & Executed. All pending orders which haven’t been executed yet will be shown in the pending tab – for example, if you have placed some limit order and stock has not touched your desired price, your stock will be in this tab. If Order type was market or stock touched limit price, then it will be displayed in executed tab

In the pending tab, if you click on the stock you will get order details and order log. You will also get option to Modify & Cancel Order besides an option to Get Quote. If you click on cancel order will move from Pending to Executed tab and will be displayed as cancelled.

You also have an option to use Filter for which you can view Orders in certain time range. Simply click on the Date icon and select from desired date range. You also get a sorting & filter option by clicking on the hamburger menu (displayed as ≡) just beside the date option.

To view the charts on the ICICIdirect Markets App, simply select on any of the stock or contract in your Watchlist which redirects to the overview page. Here, selecting on the Chart option will open the Live Streaming charts. There are 3 types of charts currently available on Markets App – Trading View, Chart IQ and Intellect. If you wish to switch from default chart, click on “More” Option at the bottom most panel of the app. Click on the settings icon (just beside logout icon) – click on Chart. The Chart Switch will open and you will be able to switch among the charts.

The option to add Biometrics is given when Logging-In to the Markets App. In case it is not chosen then, simply go to “More” option – click on settings – there you will get Biometric option which you can enable.

You can change password by clicking “More” Option –click on settings – click on Change Password. There you can enter old password and get it changed with new password. Click on Submit and your password will be changed.

Similarly, you can change the access code by clicking on “More” Option - click on “Settings” – click on “Change Access Code” – Enter Old Access Code and Confirm New Access codes.

To add funds to your account, simply go to the “More” section of the App and selects on the option “Manage Funds” at the top of the screen, where you can allocate or de-allocate funds across segments.

Currently, on the Markets App, we have Equity, F&O, Commodities & Currency. If you are looking for investing in Mutual funds, you can download ICICIdirect Money App.

To view your Portfolio, you can select the Portfolio tab (placed at the bottom of the app) where you can view your consolidated holdings, Open Positions as well as Equity, F&O, Commodities & Currency Portfolio. You also get a filtering, sorting and search option and get the stocks arranged in accordance to Name, Market Value, LTP & Percent change.

You may face issue to login to your account if your account is locked or your password might have expired. There can be cases when you forgot your Password or user ID.

Simply click on “Trouble Logging in”. There you will get 3 options – Forgot Password, Forgot User ID & Unlock Account. Follow simple steps and you will be able to access your account.

Under the portfolio tab, go to Open Positions. Here, for all the trades done on the day and also existing positions the details will be available. The P&L is updated live and is consolidated for Equity, F&O, Commodity & Currency. The same filter, search and sorting option is available for your convenience.

You can create upto 4 Watchlist on Markets App and on each Watch list you can add upto 50 stocks. You also get to choose from Pre-defined Watchlist, where pre-defined indices like NIFTY 50, NIFTY 100, NIFTY IT etc. are placed. Click on particular index and to the stock you want to add in your Watchlist click on the “+” icon at the end of the stock.  Click the particular Watchlist where you want to add the stock.

You also get to see Global Indices on the 4th Tab where you get updates on Global Indices like DOW Jones, CAC 40, DAX, NASDAQ etc.

If you are interested in knowing the Top Gainers, Top Losers, Yearly High/Low etc. you need to visit the Summary section which is just the tab after the Global Indices tab.

Any feature or tool which is presently unavailable is being tested and developed such that our customers have the best experience. We shall present them to the customers in some time. However please note that presenting all the features will make the app heavy and will be difficult for customers. We have tried to incorporate all basic features so that customers can trade on-the-go. For better experience and use other features you are requested to login to ICICIdirect Web Platform.
