Basket Orders

Basket Orders functionality allows you to place more than one or multiple orders with a single click. With Basket Orders in F&O, you can now save valuable time by placing several orders at one click of the button.

F&O traders can now place multiple multi-legged strategy orders in a single click and also view the overall margin required in saved baskets with the Basket Order platform available on ICICIdirect. You can add multiple contracts to a single basket and save it. Adding new contracts to a basket and placing orders through Basket Order is a fast and simple process.

How to use Basket Orders?

Select on ‘Create Basket’ option and give a name that you want
After naming, you have to add the Contract that you want
While adding contract, you have to also specify the Quantity, Order Type and Product Type
After selecting ‘Save to Basket’ you can view the contract in the basket
You can add upto 20 different contracts and also delete and increase lot size of contracts
View the margin required for the contract, and after adding more contracts the reduced margin is also shown
Selecting on Place Order submits all the contracts included in the Basket

There are no additional charges for basket orders.

What are the benefits of Basket Orders?

Yes, With F&O, important information on Margins required for each contract and also for overall Basket is showcased.

What Order types are available with basket orders?

Limit order and Market order; If you place order using market order it will get executed immediately whereas for limit order it will remain pending till it gets executed.

Bulk & Block Deals

Bulk deals refers to transactions where the total quantity traded in a stock ( whether bought or sold) is more than 0.5% of the number of equity shares of the company listed on the stock exchange. The quantity bought or sold could be through single trade or multiple trades. Block deals is a trade with a minimum quantity of 500,000 shares or minimum value of Rs. 5 crores, executed through a single transaction on a special "Block Deal Window" The window is opened for 35 minutes in the morning trading hours. SEBI rule states that block deal orders should be placed for a price not exceeding +1 percent to -1 percent of the previous day's closing or the current market price.

Heat Map

Heat Map is a Tabular representation of stocks for a Group/Index in ascending order of their price movement with respect to yesterday's closing price. The table is color coded where the negative stocks are displayed in Red background and positive stocks are displayed in Blue Background.You can also load your user-defined Market Watch in Heat Map.

Moving Averages

Moving Averages means the average price of a security over a specified time period. The most commonly used are 3, 5, 13, 20, 50, 100, 200 days. Moving Averages are used in order to spot pricing trends by flattering on large fluctuations. This is perhaps the most commonly used variable in technical analysis. Its data is also used to create charts that show whether a stock's price is trending up or down.

Gross delivery of shares is the ratio of deliverable quantity of shares to the total quantity of shares traded in the exchange on that trading day.

What are the steps for using ICICIdirect API?

To use ICICIdirect API, you need to be a ICICIdirect Customer. After becoming a customer follow the steps here to start:

User will need to come and register on ICICI direct developer portal. User will need to input below fields:
- App Name
- Registered URL
- Redirect URL
After this user will create AppKey and client_secret which will be unique to app.
All requests need to have parameter of AppKey , Checksum and Timestamp.
